I recently had to change my parents health insurance from Kaiser over to another plan so that my dad could have back surgery with a doctor that he chose that was not a Kaiser doctor. I was referred to Kevin by a colleague in the insurance business who did not specialize in Medicare policies. Although the process was daunting, due to the fact of having to verify that all doctors/hospitals, that my dad wanted to go to were covered under the new plan. If you've ever done this you know how confusing it can all be! I had no idea! Kevin actually called all of the doctors offices, the hospital, and also the retirement community/Long Term Care facility that my parents live at now (they require you to have specific insurance that they accept as well), to make sure they were all covered under the new health plan that he recommended. He also advised us that since my dad had a serious pre-existing condition for back surgery, he had to have a plan that did not require underwriting! I would say that Kevin went FAR over and above what i would have expected, and he kept me calm during the entire process by assuring me that he was taking care of it. He also was very patient with me, explaining everything that i was not familiar with. He was extremely responsive, both via email and phone. Then the insurance cards arrive and they were incorrect, so he promptly got on the phone with them and got corrected ones mailed out immediately. I can't say enough about Kevin, and will happily refer clients and friends to him any chance i get. Thanks Kevin for everything.
